The Changing Tradition - Women in the History of Rhetoric. Until very recently, the contribution of women to the history of rhetoric has gone unacknowledged. Current scholarship, however, reveals that traditional devinitions of the field have been too narrow, excluding the work of women rhetoricians. Research demonstrates that women hav indeed been involved in the field of rhetoric, almost since its inception, and have made a significant impact.
